Rustom Padilla shares new life as Bebe Gandanghari
There were mixed reactions from TV viewers in last Sunday’s The Buzz show when Bebe Gandanghari showed herself for the very first time in public. Her announcement shocked waves among fans and supporters but most of them accepted the new Rustom Padilla, positively.
After his interview in The Buzz, Bebe comfortably shared with the media the personal details of Bebe Gandanghari. “Yung name na Gandanghari du’n sa Miss UST ko nakuha. Ang pangalan nu’ng reigning Miss UST, Gandanghari,” Rustom started. That’s where Rustom got inspired to copy her new name. “Na-inspire ako sa name. If I have a name, I said, given the choice kung ano ang ipapangalan ko, gagamitin ko ‘yun. So, this is it. Bebe Gandanghari.”
Rustom figured the transformation must take place in the US because he found it very hard here. “Kailangan! Because it was very hard.” He explained that doing the transformation here is a hard thing for him to do since people have certain image especially the likes of Rustom. However, she’s happy when Rustom was still around. “Because I both enjoyed it,” explained Bebe. She further explained that she’s happy with the people’s reaction about her beauty. “But it doesn’t mean I was lonely before. But I’m very happy, very happy now. I think that’s the essence of life ‘di ba? I mean, life is I don’t think life is meant na or parang ‘yung namumuhay ka ng isang buhay na hindi mo gusto o para sa ibang tao, you know. So, you just have to be what you want to be.”
When asked about her love life and as to whether she’s open to suitors, Bebe just laughed and said, “Hihihi. Totoo..Oh, well I’m young. May nagtatanong ng pangalan. I’m still young.” Bebe said she’s flattered with all the people who wanted to date her who, according to her, are all from New York. “Lahat from New York. I mean I just got back two days ago.” She also admits she’s conservative when it comes to relationships. “Oh, I don’t go for one night stands. I go for a serious relationship. Bebe is a virgin. Wala pa s’yang boyfriend. Hindi pa s’ya magkaka-boyfriend. So, she’s a virgin,” Bebe shared. She also confessed that she did not go through a sex-transplant contrary to reports. However, she did not make any comment when asked if she wants to have it in the future to complete her womanhood. “No comment. I mean, you know. I’m in the middle of everything. So, no comment.”
Bebe further shared that she was touched by the warm support from her ex-wife Carmina and her partner Zoren Legaspi. “Yeah, I’m very touched. I’m very happy. I’m just glad na everything is okay and they are happy. And they wish me well and I wish them well.” Bebe said that she’s all out to work for a good project with Carmina and Zoren.
When asked as to how true that she is more flawless than Carmina based on Carmina’s statement in one interview, Bebe just laughed out loud and said, “No, no, no. Flawless ‘yun. I should know. Hahaha! She also laughed when asked if she wants the likes of Zoren to be her first and said, “Sumasakit ang t’yan ko sa tanong. Parang magkaroon ako ng period right at this moment. Hahaha!”
