Miss Philippines is 4th runner up in the Miss Universe 2010 Pageant
The Miss Universe 2010 Pageant, held in Mandalay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, draws a huge crowd coming from people around the globe. Loud cheers from supporters of the Ms. Philippine candidate, Maria Venus Raj, made one of the Miss Universe 2010 host mention that the whole country is in Las Vegas.
Maria Venus Raj, who hails from the Bicol Region, was among the top 15 candidates selected to be the Miss Universe 2010. As the candidates were narrowed down to 10, Ms. Philippines still came in at the top of the list. When it came down to the top 5 candidates, Ms. Philippines came in 3rd.
The final stage of the Miss Universe 2010 selection process was the question and answer portion. The last that was called was Maria Venus Raj of the Philippines. The question was both simple and hard that demands a quick answer of about 30 seconds. When asked as to what is the major mistake she has done in her life and what she did to correct it, Miss Philippines was quick to say that she has not done any “major major” mistake in her life because of the love she gets from her family and also because she is confident.

The 2010 Miss Universe Hosts are Bret Michaels and Natalie Morales. Bret Michaels is a multi-platinum superstar singer, songwriter, producer, director and actor that has been in the entertainment business for over 20 years. He was recently named the winner of NBC’s season three “Celebrity Apprentice.” Michaels’ new album, “Custom Built,” is currently the # 1 independent and hard rock album. Natalie Morales, on the other hand, joined the “Today” show as a national correspondent in February 2006 and was named co-host of the third hour in March 2008. Morales also serves as a national correspondent for all NBC News platforms including “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams,” “Dateline NBC” and MSNBC.
