Good, but not for everyone

Perfect for betta tanks 3 & 5 gallons I am using this pump to siphon three and five gallon tanks and it works perfectly. To start the siphon give a couple squeezes and make sure the bucket and tube are below the tank level. If you need to stop the suction for partial water change, simply raise the bucket up to tank level. It’s not rocket science but the packaging is foreign and there are no instructions so I wanted to add that for anyone new to this type of product. Trying to remove the bulb I did manage (very first time) to put a dent in the tubing that will not come out. I suspect this is an item that, while it works wonders, probably will need periodic replacement. For the price though, I really wouldn’t mind. That is the only reason I deducted one star. Also I am able to use this pump without having to remove my betta fish from the tank for partial water changes which is good, they get temporarily stressed every time they are moved.

works great! This makes it very easy to drain the water from the tank prior to cleaning. the part that goes in the tank has a grid so it does not suck up the fish if you keep them in there, but can get small stuff in the water
