Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton’s fight in Las Vegas on May 2 not definite

Manny Pacquiao is now back in the Philippines from his trip in the United States. It has been the subject of discussions that Manny’s next fight will be on the 2nd of May against Ricky Hatton. It is said also that Pacquiao and Hatton will split the expected $58.2 million fight purse with Top Rank promoter Bob Arum pointing out that Hatton’s fan following in Britain will contribute handsomely to revenues from the showdown. However upon his arrival at the NAIA Airport, Manny’s lawyer dismissed the issue as it is too early to say. According to Manny’s lawyer “the contract is still under negotiation because Manny is not happy with the current figures. He might be fighting against Hatton or he might be fighting with somebody else so it really depends, but we want it to happen sometime in May this year.”  Manny Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum is still negotiating the contract.

Manny left his wife and daughter in the United States for additional medical check-up but will be home in a few weeks.
