Love scene of Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin in ‘Love Me Again’ too daring for MTRCB
Piolo Pascual revealed at the final press conference of Love Me Again (Land Down Under) that what makes his love scene with Angel Locsin different from what he did in past movies was the “execution, the way Director Rory Quintos explained the shoots and the way she asked us how to do the hand movements.” Piolo admitted that it was very technical as the Director requires a lot of things for the scene. He said that Director Rory was pretty good at what she does.
The love scene of the country’s hottest team up has now caused quite a stir among fans and the local media just by watching the thriller alone. However, viewers cannot see the full version anymore because it has already been edited by Star Cinema for fear that the movie would not be approved by the MTRCB (Movie and Television Review and Classification Board).
Director Rory Quiintos said that it was a very sensual scene and confessed that he felt really bad about the editing as “it is only a work of art more than anything else”. “I was hoping that people will be more mature. I was hoping that they will appreciate the artistic value rather than the actual act of the whole thing. But well apparently hindi daw,” added Director Rory.
Since viewers can no longer watch the full version of the show, Piolo simply described what he liked about the movie. Piolo said that what he likes most was the romantic encounters they have with Angel Locsin in the stables. “I think the shots of Direk na nagdodolly yung cam, tapos may silhouette ng ilaw na na-edit out. Sayang kasi it’s very dramatic, very cinematic,” added Piolo. He also shared that he found it funny because he and Angel were just acting as silhouette in the movie. “We were just raising our hands just so something can be seen,” he confessed.
Angel clarified that it is natural to feel bad about the movie being edited after all the hard work they’ve done. She admits that she even tried to give her a shoot of tequila to make herself feel comfortable when they were doing the love scene in Australia but it failed because she feared she might end up having red eyes or do crazy stuff in the set.
When Angel was asked as to how far she went with the controversial love scene, she just answered “people should watch Love Me Again to see for themselves.”
