Slow Down to Lose Weight

It’s holiday season and it’s hard to resist all the delicious food that’s on the table. One trick to lose weight even with all those tempting food is to slow down. According to a study, the pace at which you eat may be as important as the amount you eat. A British Medical Journal recently released article indicated that you’re more likely to be overweight if you down your food fast and don’t stop eating until you feel full.

A survey by scientists to more than 3000 adults regarding their eating habits also showed that those who didn’t stop eating until they felt full were nearly two times more likely to be overweight than the others, and those who ate quickly were about twice as likely to be overweight as the slower eaters.

Thus, those who want to battle obesity should be mindful of what they eat, focus on what you put in your mouth, chew slowly, and stop before you feel stuffed.
