Jericho Rosales talks about priorities in life
Jericho Rosales is this month’s issue of MetroHim Magazine. In this interview, Jericho talks about what he’s learned from showbiz and how it is like coming back as an actor. He also talks about priorities in life.
Jericho shares with MetroHim his life in showbiz. He took a break from the limelight and concentrated on producing his own brand of music. He shared he was becoming a rebel at that time. “I was basically tired. I really needed a break. Eight years of not resting and just doing acting, tuloy-tuloy lang. I was getting disappointed by a lot of things in showbiz,” he said. Jericho added he felt his acting career was okay but internally he was not.
He recalled the backlash he received after doing Panday and received hurtful words from people. A guy even said to me “O, ano musikero ka na lang? Si Jericho wala na yan. Isang echo na lang yan.” What’s wrong with being a musician?,” added Jericho.
Echo is more vocal with regards to his personal life adding that his former co-star in Kahit Isang Saglit, Ms. Carmen Soo, has nothing to do with his breakup with long-time girlfriend Heart Evangelista. Echo insists that Carmen has nothing to do with the breakup. “We are just good friends. We shared a lot of things, especially with the show. Daming pinagdaan ng show. Tagal naming nagsama. Because of that, we became good friends. Sometimes we do eat out. When she’s here, I take her out, ” shared Echo. Echo added that Carmen doesn’t believe in long distance relationship and that he also has different priorities in life. Jericho believes that he and Carmen will click, but that the relationship won’t work. Echo shared that Carmen is a good person with a good heart and good qualities, but “the situation at that time was not right.”
Having a love life is not the top priority of Jericho Rosales at the moment. “It’s only been nine months since I’m single. I’ve been working so hard. I just pray that I meet that perfect person. I am not looking but there are times when I’m like, ‘Hay, sana I have someone.’ There are times when I just have to go home because your friends are not available.”
Jericho confides that he has now a well-balanced life with his acting career, his music and surfing. He now learns to appreciate the simple things in life and for him everything now matters. “Nanamnamin ko na yung dating hindi ko napapansin,” he added.
