Charice Pempengco rocks Obama’s two pre-inaugural events
Charice is unstoppable as she brought yet another honor to the Philippines and her millions of kababayans when she wowed an unusual audiences during two of the very important pre-inaugural balls for US President Barack Obama.
With her star rising fast, there are speculations that Charice might choose to stay in the US as she holds an extraordinary ability visa processed by no less than immigration lawyer, Atty. Michael Gurfinkel.
“It depends,” Charice was quoted as saying, which indicates that if offers comes one after another then she might stay. Charice for now will be shuttling between the US and the Philippines.
It wasn’t Oprah, said to be Charice international handler, who facilitated her inclusion in the event, but Michael Gurfinkel and wife Millie.
Millie Gurfinkel and businesswoman philanthropist Loida Lewis were said to have attended various fundraisers for the Democratic Party and have discussed about Charice. It was Ms. Lewis, a prominent Filipina in the US, who conferred with the gala co-chairs for Charice inclusion in the program.
After her finale performance in the Martin Luther King, Jr. pre-inaugural gala where she sang ‘God Bless America’, she was immediately hugged on stage by the hero’s son, Martin Luther King III. The audience, including dignitaries loved her performance.
Charice also made a courtesy call to Ambassador Willi Gaa at the Philippine Embassy where she joined a reception and performed a couple of numbers for her kababayans.
