Charice Pempengco thanks all detractors
Charice Pempengco arrived in the country last January 22 after three performances in the United States. Charice, who was interviewed by Boy Abunda of The Buzz last Sunday, January 25, said that she will soon return to the United States to listen to some songs composed by David Foster for her. “Nagcompose po si David Foster ng original songs and papakinggan lang po and baka mag-start na rin akong mag recording under Warner Brothers,” Charice said.
She is also rumored to star in her own TV show in the United States to be produced by Oprah Winfrey. Charice could only say that she would be very thankful if the rumor could become a reality. “Para po sa akin napakalaking honor ‘nun. S’yempre America na po ‘yun eh,” Charice answered shyly. Charice added that though international offers are pouring in she will still treat the Philippines as her home base. Charice will stay longer in the United States but added that she doesn’t know how long she will stay in show business.
To all her detractors, Charice could only thanked them for giving her the strength and courage to pursue her dream. “Maraming maraming salamat po sa kanila kasi lahat po ng sinasabi nila against sa akin, nagkaroon po ako ng lakas ng loob na ipakita na kaya ko lahat ‘yung sinasabi nilang hindi ko kaya.” She also responded about the rumors that her mom is hard to to talk to regarding her guest appearances. Charice explained that her mom is just there to take care of her and that there are people who are managing her career in the Philippines and in the United States. She further explained that these are the people who turned down the invitations to do performances because she has to go with her schedule. “S’yempre priority po ngayon ang States,” Charice said.
When asked as to how she feels about all the blessing that she’s getting in a span of one year, teary-eyed Charice explained that maybe God showered her with all what she have now because of what she has gone through before.
