Maria Venus Raj, who hails from the Bicol Region, was among the top 15 candidates selected to be the Miss Universe 2010. As the candidates were narrowed down to 10, Ms. Philippines still came in at the top of the list. When it came down to the top 5 candidates, Ms. Philippines came in 3rd.

The final stage of the Miss Universe 2010 selection process was the question and answer portion. The last that was called was Maria Venus Raj of the Philippines. The question was both simple and hard that demands a quick answer of about 30 seconds. When asked as to what is the major mistake she has done in her life and what she did to correct it,  Miss Philippines was quick to say that she has not done any “major major” mistake in her life because of the love she gets from her family and also because she is confident.

The 2010 Miss Universe Hosts are Bret Michaels and Natalie Morales. Bret Michaels is a multi-platinum superstar singer, songwriter, producer, director and actor that has been in the entertainment business for over 20 years. He was recently named the winner of NBC’s season three “Celebrity Apprentice.” Michaels’ new album, “Custom Built,” is currently the # 1 independent and hard rock album. Natalie Morales, on the other hand, joined the “Today” show as a national correspondent in February 2006 and was named co-host of the third hour in March 2008. Morales also serves as a national correspondent for all NBC News platforms including “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams,” “Dateline NBC” and MSNBC.

Miss Philippines candidate for the Miss Universe 2009 Pageant was Miss Bianca Manalo.

In a phone patch interview in “The Buzz“, Kris assured fans that she is doing okay and that she has no brain damage. She said that her ordeal is a lesson for everyone, especially women who is fond of making bubbles while taking shower. According to Kris, it is a lesson she will definitely remember. She advises everyone that it is very important to place a rubber mat in a shower room to avoid an accident like hers.

Kris narrates her story that she slipped in the bathroom floor while taking a bath. She also informed viewers that the reason why her husband James was not around when she was rushed to the hospital was because the later was scheduled to play that day.

If all goes well, Kris hopes to be back on television by Wednesday.

Mommy Dionisia Pacquaio’s new mansion has now become a new added attraction in General Santos City in addition to her boxing champ son, Manny Pacquiao, who has continued to draw fans.

The mansion which has four huge bedrooms is seated in a 300-square-meter lot in General Santos City. It is furnished with expensive furniture that includes a dining set imported straight from Italy. It has a staggering price of P700,000. There is also a separate prayer room and a grotto outside of the house.

“Ang saya ko. Bata pa ako, ito na ang dream house ko,” Mommy Dionisia said.

Truly, Mommy Dionisia is so blessed to have a son so generous like Manny Pacquiao.

Willie Revillame is getting richer every second of the day.  With the success of ABS-CBN’s afternoon show, Wowowee, so does the success of its host, Willie Revillame.

Willie’s success in hosting the ABS-CBN’s Wowewee show made him a fortune. Indeed, a lot. Willie got a P70M 94-footer luxury yacht, which he named M/Y Wow Cruiser. It boosts of 4 rooms in the lower deck including a master’s bedroom, elegant comfort room and shower room and a living room complete with entertainment amenities. And, what’s amazing is that it runs in auto-pilot.

Willie is reported to have a P3M a month talent fee. It is great fortune to many but Willie has more in mind.

Just recently in Wowowee’s shows, Willie will never miss to promote his new “Will Tower Mall”  building project located just across the ABS-CBN headquarters in Quezon City. Pokwang is such a talent that ABS-CBN would definitely not dare to ignore. With Pokwang’s talent, she can do a show by herself be it a drama, singing, comedy or a dance show. While Pokwang gets a lot of criticism from people because of the way she dresses herself on Wowowee, she also gets a lot of applause from those who believe in her talent.

When Pokwang was asked by Willie Revillame to sing at one of Wowowee’s afternoon show because of the extra time they have, Pokwang made a blast. Even the studio audience requested for one more song and Pokwang delivered. Pokwang surely can deliver what the audience will ask for.

Kris recently apologized live on TV to Minna, mother of James Yap’s rumored girlfriend upon the advice of her siblings. Kris categorically said that “it is not all about you but it is all about your daughter.” It was earlier reported that Kris Aquino allegedly rages outside the house of Mayen, her husband’s rumored girlfriend.

Kris explained that “never s’ya nagmura and “never po akong nanglait ng tao.” According to Kris, all what she did was to show her displeasure as a wife that is fighting for her rights. She added that that was the main reason she was compelled to confront Mayen, the rumored girlfriend of  husband James Yap.

KC, on the other hand, said the same thing. According to the young actress, the workshop really did an amazing  job for them. Though there was part of the workshop where she and her dad had become emotional it in turn built a strong bond between the them.

Part of the workshop showed the duo getting too emotional to each other and were found crying in each other’s arms. The workshop was indeed a good bonding venue for both father and daughter who were separated for quite a long time in their lives and now are happy catching up lost times.
