Carmina Villaroel sees nothing wrong with Bebe Gandanghari

During the launching of the SM Supermalls Green Bag at the Mall of Asia last January 16, Carmina Villaroel said that she is willing to work with ex-husband Rustom Padilla in the future. “Kung maganda ‘yung project, why not ‘di ba? Bottomline land dito hindi kami magkaaway. Obviously, we have moved on and kung ano man ‘yung nangyayari sa buhay niya, as long as he is happy, then go. Wala naman s’yang sinasaktang tao, ‘di ba? Para happy,” she added.

Carmina, together with partner Zoren Legaspi and twins Maverick and Cassandra were the celebrity endorsers of the Green Bag environmental project. The project seeks to encourage the public to use recyclable bag instead of plastic bags.

Carmina sees nothing wrong with her ex-husband’s decision to rename himself. “You know, wala akong masasabi eh. Siguro, what I can say is that I have nothing to say against him, nothing bad because I don’t have any ill feelings towards him,” Carmina shared.

It can be recalled that in last Sunday’s The Buzz show, Rustom stunned TV viewers when he publicly announced that Rustom Padilla is now dead and that he will now be known as Bebe Gandanghari. Rustom has publicly embraced a new persona, that of being a woman. The Eva Fonda actor even shared that he one day hopes to work with his celebrity crush Richard Gomez.

Zoren Legaspi, a TV Director and Carmina’s life partner, also said that there is no quarrel between them and that he is also open to the idea of working with Rustom in the same project.
