It’s a baby boy for Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid
Regine Velasquez, actress-singer and wife of singer-composer, Ogie Alcasid, delivers a baby boy Tuesday night, according to her sister-manager Cacai Velasquez. Regine and Ogie named their first born, Nathaniel James. Nathaniel James, who was not due to come out yet, weighs 4.4lbs only. He was delivered by c-section at around 7:47 p.m. in a private hospital. Regine’s OB-Gyne decided to do a caesarian section because the actress-singer’s amniotic fluid was low coupled with a high sugar due to gestational diabetes.
In his Facebook account, the proud father to a first baby boy, Ogie posted, “Thank you everyone! Mommy and Baby are fine! Praise God”! This was in response to congratulatory messages from friends and colleagues.
Ogie Alcasid has two daughters from his first marriage with Australian beauty queen, Michelle van Eimeren. The two remained very good friends.
